Customer Care Specialist (Logistics Operations)

Main Purpose of the Job
Receives and processes customer orders, inquiries and/or complaints covering items or products ordered. Maintains an ongoing relationship with selected customers and sales staff. Uses knowledge of products, product availability, sales territories, and individual customers to provide a key communications link to the customer. Typically requires analysis, judgment, and sensitivity to customer needs and demonstration of high-level product and process knowledge.
What can you expect your day to look like?
- Manage the Full Order Process: Receive and process customer orders accurately, from initiation to delivery.
- Ensure Accurate Data Entry: Input all relevant order information into internal systems in a timely and precise manner.
- Keep Customers Informed: Monitor order status and proactively communicate shipping and delivery updates to clients.
- Oversee Payments and Prevent Debt: Track payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and take steps to minimize overdue debt.
- Handle and Analyze Demurrages: Ensure proper receipt and processing of demurrages, investigate root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Identify and Solve Issues: Analyze operational challenges, propose corrective actions, and work toward long-term solutions.

What do we expect from you?
- Fluency in English: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Experience in Logistics (Preferred): Prior experience in a logistics or transportation environment is considered an advantage.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and precision in a fast-paced work setting.
- Strong Teamwork and Collaboration Skills: Willingness to work closely with others to solve problems and achieve goals.
