Senior Lawyer (Commercial & Data Privacy)

We are looking for a motivated Senior Lawyer with expertise in Commercial law and Data Privacy to join our Commercial Legal Team. In this role, you will provide legal guidance to colleagues in Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Business Development across multiple jurisdictions, focusing on commercial law and data privacy, while helping to ensure compliance and drive business growth.
What can you expect your day to look like?
- Draft, review, and coordinate commercial contracts and related legal documents, identifying potential risks and advising on their business impact.
- Support Procurement, Finance, Sales, Business Development, and other teams on commercial legal matters to facilitate smooth business operations.
- Take responsibility for assigned commercial legal issues across all jurisdictions where Girteka operates.
- Monitor the legal and data privacy environment, analyse new regulations, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Prepare procedural documents (lawsuits, complaints, reviews, etc.) and represent the company in court proceedings when required.
Your responsibilities in data privacy
- Perform functions that help ensure the company’s compliance with the GDPR and other personal data privacy requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and update internal data privacy rules, procedures, and policies.
- Draft and review contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners, ensuring compliance with data privacy requirements.
- Advise colleagues from various departments (IT, HR, Customer Service, Operations) on data privacy matters and projects.
- Assess new and existing IT systems, digital projects, and business processes from a data privacy perspective.
- Participate in data privacy risk assessments, audits, and incident management processes.
What do we expect from you?
- Law degree (Master’s or equivalent) and at least 2+ years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in the field of data privacy.
- Strong knowledge of commercial law and data privacy regulations.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Lithuanian.
- Business-oriented mindset, result-driven, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive, continuously seeking improvement and additional responsibilities.
- A positive, solution-oriented mindset, focusing on “how” instead of “no”.

- Base monthly salary: from €3600 to €4500 (before tax). The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed and suitability to the position's requirements.
