Main Purpose of the Job

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of one of our divisions (GBS). This role is a critical leadership position that combines the responsibility of managing the accounts payable function with broader accounting oversight. The ideal candidate will be both a hands-on problem solver and a strategic leader, ensuring that Accounts Payable operations are accurate, efficient, compliant, and aligned with corporate standards.

Reporting directly to the Girteka Group Head of Accounting, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement and strategic evolution of Girteka’s financial operations, ensuring excellence in accounting practices and business performance.

What can you expect your day to look like?

  • Support Accounting leadership in strategy, process optimization, and team integration.

  • Align GBS teams with accounting structure, ensuring standardized processes and compliance.

  • Monitor workload, identify gaps, and ensure cross-training for flexibility.

  • Lead process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.

  • Collaborate with managers and teams to align strategies and share best practices.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and resolve vendor/payment issues promptly.

  • Address internal customer queries with professionalism and responsiveness.

  • Execute ad-hoc tasks from manager and ensure BCP/operational resilience.

What do we expect from you?

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and regulatory compliance
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Proven leadership capabilities to oversee and develop high-performing teams
  • Strategic and analytical thinking to drive process improvements and enhance operational effectiveness
  • Adaptability and resilience to navigate a fast-paced, evolving business landscape
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to travel within the Vilnius and Tbilisi offices when needed

  • Base monthly salary: from €4310 to €5390 (before tax). The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed and suitability to the requirements of the position.
