What can you expect your day to look like?
Wou will be:
- Responsible for making and executing critical planning decisions for the own-asset fleet. This includes managing international truck positioning, navigating seasonality, selecting optimal lanes, and balancing flows in collaboration with regional teams to maximize overall profitability.
- Overseeing the configuration and maintenance of planning tools (Nexogen and Demander) from a European perspective. Collaborating with the Quality team to enhance these tools, ensuring they adapt to current business needs and provide accurate cargo trend forecasting.
- Ensuring seamless cooperation between regions, freight forwarding, sales, and other operations groups (Intermodal, Coordination, etc.). Managing fleet flows and process improvements to ensure agreements between teams are met and operational bottlenecks are resolved.
- Leading and mentoring up to 5 Planning Team Leads by setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews (3S), and identifying training needs. Responsible for building a values-driven culture, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring professional growth through individual development plans.
- Accountable for the Planning Unit’s performance indicators. This involves monitoring team results, analyzing quality metrics, and implementing action plans to ensure all strategic goals and service levels are consistently achieved.
What do we expect from you?
We expect experience in:
- Making and executing transport planning decisions to maximize profitability, manage seasonality, and balance international fleet flows.
- Supervising and developing planning tools to align with business needs and improve data accuracy.
- Managing and mentoring teams (at least 2 years), setting clear objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture through continuous feedback (3S).
- Ensuring the achievement of all departmental KPIs by monitoring quality indicators and implementing improvement plans.
- Partnering with regional hubs, sales, and other operations teams to optimize cargo flows and streamline intermodal/transshipment processes.
- Working English proficiency.
