We are currently looking for a Payroll Team Lead to join our team in Lithuania on a fixed-term contract. This role focuses on managing a team of 7 payroll professionals, overseeing and supervising all payroll processes specific to Lithuania, and ensuring that salaries are calculated and paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with local legislation and government regulations for Girteka Group companies.
What can you expect your day to look like?
- Lead and manage the payroll team, ensuring smooth daily operations and high performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salaries, taxes, declarations, and full compliance with Lithuanian and relevant EU legislation.
- Oversee payroll documentation, represent the company during payroll-related audits, and handle salary-related labor matters.
- Involve the team in strategic projects (e.g. SAP implementation) and ensuring smooth execution of payroll-related activities.
What do we expect from you?
- Higher education in finance, law, or a related field.
- Knowledge of legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, which regulate accounting, tax calculation and payment, total working time accounting and the Labour Code
- 2+ year leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English.
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel. Experience with payroll software (Bonus is a plus) and business management programs like Axapta or SAP is an advantage.

- Base monthly salary: from €3450 to 4310€ (before tax). The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed and suitability to the position's requirements.
