Payroll Manager

The Payroll team is a dynamic group of 20 professionals working from our Vilnius and Poznań offices. Their main responsibility is to implement the company's remuneration policy and ensure the timely processing of payroll transactions for Girteka Group companies.
We are currently looking a Payroll Manager to join our team. This role will involve managing the payroll team, overseeing and supervising the organization's payroll functions, and ensuring that pay is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with government regulations.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the payroll team's performance by planning and organizing workloads, monitoring progress, and evaluating results.
- Oversee payroll teams to Calculate wages and taxes payments. Prepare and submit declarations to state institutions in line with legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania and other EU countries.
- Represent company during audits,a nd participating in labor dispute resolutions related to salary issues.
- Collaborate with the business on strategic payroll matters by providing expert consultations and tailored recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure the timely preparation of all payroll documentation and statistical reports.
- Involve the team in strategic projects such as SAP implementation or company separations, ensuring smooth execution of payroll-related activities.
- Lead and guide the team to optimize payroll process automation and overall efficiency, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Lead payroll team by recruiting, selecting, training and developing employees.
- Perform other duties as assign.
Our expectations
- Higher education in finance, law, or a related field.
- Knowledge of legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, which regulate accounting, tax calculation and payment, total working time accounting and the Labour Code
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English. Knowledge of Polish is an advantage.
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel. Experience with payroll software (Bonus is a plus) and business management programs like Axapta or SAP is an advantage.

Base monthly salary: from 4310€ to 5170€ (before tax). The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed and suitability to the requirements of the position.
