Integration Architect

Main Purpose of the Job

As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, your primary role will be to impact, set strategy and transform the way integrations between IT systems are implemented to achieve long-term flexibility and agility.   

Your Responsibilities

• Strategy Development: Lead and deliver the Integration Strategy, including defining integration patterns, selecting technologies, and establishing implementation principles. Align the strategy across the organization to ensure consistency and efficiency. 
• Project Support: Play a key role in project initiation by defining integration principles and identifying integration points essential for project delivery. 
• Technical Guidance: Collaborate closely with development teams to guide and implement new integration methods. Provide engineering-level explanations and demonstrate the benefits of applying the Integration Strategy. 
• Architectural Governance: Drive improvements in integration governance by standardizing integration practices across diverse teams and ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture. 
• Systems Transformation: Impact and transform the way IT systems are integrated to enable long-term flexibility in systems changes and enhance scalability. 
• Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across the Enterprise Architecture team, IT Department, and business units to support strategic transformation initiatives. 
• Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation to capture valuable insights while maintaining efficient communication with stakeholders. 
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve integration processes, leveraging modern technologies and methodologies. 
• Travel: Minimal travel (up to 5%) based solely on clear business needs. 

Our expectations

• You are a self-driven and goal-oriented professional with the ability to influence, shape, and establish new standards for system integration within the industry. 
• You possess strong communication and documentation skills, enabling you to explain complex engineering challenges in a simple manner and maintain efficient alignment with stakeholders. 
• You have solid experience with large-scale integrations involving complex patterns and diverse technologies, including hands-on expertise in serverless integration capabilities from public cloud providers (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Cognito, Lambda, Docker). 
• You are knowledgeable about middleware technologies, patterns for legacy systems integrations as well as modern integration methodologies. 
• Experience integrating SAP ecosystem is a big advantage.  
• You are tech-savvy and stay updated on modern integration technologies, understanding the benefits and challenges associated with their large-scale application. 
• You are capable of collaborating effectively across teams in a dynamic IT environment, contributing to Girteka’s strategic transformation objectives. 
• Higher education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

• Salary Range: 4460 - 5580 Gross EUR.
