Group Chief Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GL reporting manager to join our Shared Service Center team. As the GL reporting manager in our Shared Service Center, you will be responsible for managing the centralized accounting functions for all subsidiaries under the holding company.  

Your Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor GL accounting team (3 Chief accountants, 7 deputy chief accountants).
• Ensure timely financial statements review, compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end procedures.
• Run regular tax risk assessments and decreasing risks.
• Collaborate closely with other departments in accounting share service center to ensure accurate financial data flow.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Keep up with the latest tax regulations.
• Providing support during the audits and liaising with external auditors.
• Participate in various IT and other projects focused on digitalization of accounting processes.
• Collaborate with Girteka Group companies’ managers to support their financial needs and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.

Our expectations:

• University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics.
• At least 5 years of experience working as a Chief Accountant, GL reporting manager and other similar positions.
• At least 3 years of experience managing accounting team.
• Experience working in holding company (over 10 subsidiaries across various industries).
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Experience working in a shared service center or managing the accounting functions of multiple entities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of legislation of the Republic of Lithuania in the field of accounting and taxation.
• Excellent MS office skills.
• Good accounting software skills.
• Hands-on experience with data and business management systems.
• High sense of responsibility, capacity to organize time and plan actions effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Very good English language skills (Polish language is preferred).

• Base monthly salary: from €4110 to €5140 (before tax). The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed and suitability to the requirements of the position.
