Data Engineer / BI Developer

Main Purpose of the Job

Girteka Logistics is overcoming a major Digital Transformation by executing SAP Implementation program, Automation projects, strengthening E-channels and applying many other digital solutions. In order to achieve our targets, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer/BI Developer, who is willing to use an opportunity to develop and implement new SAP BI capabilities.

You are going to be a member of BI team tasked to build new analytics platform for Girteka. In this role you will design and build data objects, enabling SAP Analytics Cloud dashboards.You will also have an opportunity to expand your skills and responsibilities and take hands-on of full SAP BI toolset, elevate your experience and contribute even more to successful data models and reports delivery. 

What can you expect your day to look like?

• Understand, analyze, and implement product backlog items in SAP Datasphere (formerly Data Warehouse Cloud)

• Develop and maintain data models and BI objects following established best practices

• Collaborate closely with senior BI developers and architects on solution design

• Align with source system developers to ensure data quality and consistency

• Support analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of data-related issues

• Participate in discussions with business stakeholders to clarify requirements

• Contribute to continuous improvement of BI processes, solutions, and team ways of working

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)

• Proactively raise risks, blockers, or data quality issues that may impact delivery

What do we expect from you?

• Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving mindset; eager to learn and grow

• Solid understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts

• Good SQL skills (around 2–4 years of hands-on experience)

• Practical experience in BI development, data modeling, and reporting

• Familiarity with SAP BI tools (BW, BODS, Business Objects, etc.) is an advantage

• Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, or S/4HANA Embedded Analytics is a strong plus

• Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; Jira knowledge is a plus

• Good English skills (written and spoken), including ability to document technical solutions

Salary Range:  3,350 -  5,030  Eur GROSS.
