Account Manager - Spot Freight

What can you expect your day to look like?

  • Manage and develop relationships with new and existing spot market customers and secure ad-hoc shipments.
  • React quickly to market changes and identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify and negotiate profitable spot freight opportunities.
  • Work in a high energy environment where quick decision making matters.
  • Balance customer expectations with operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Analyze shipment performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in process optimization and market development initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies when needed.
  • Meet revenue, shipment, and performance targets.
  • Work closely with pricing, planning, and operations teams.

What do we expect from you?

  • Experience in sales, account management, or logistics.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable working with data, CRM, and MS Office.
  • Fluent English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Competitive spirit and motivation to achieve targets.
  • Understanding of the European road freight market is considered an advantage.
  • Experience working with spot freight exchanges/platforms is a plus.

  • Base monthly salary: from €2330 to €2910 (before tax). The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed and suitability to the requirements of the position.
