Transport Control Specialist

We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented leader to join our team as a Transport Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the monitoring and evaluation of transportation operations, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key performance indicators to ensure efficient and compliant transport services.

You will ensure uninterrupted control of trucks and drivers’ work during evening and night hours, overseeing all monitoring functions related to cargo tracking and security. The role plays a critical part in maintaining operational continuity, ensuring safety standards, and supporting overall transport performance.

This position is based in Tbilisi, Georgia, within Girteka Business Services (GBS) - a shared services center established in 2022 to support Girteka Group’s global expansion. By building a strong talent base in Georgia, GBS enhances Girteka’s operational capabilities across Europe and the Nordics. As part of this fast-growing organization, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and strengthening our customer service strategy.

What can you expect your day to look like?

• According to the instructions of the transport manager - call, send an SMS message or otherwise inform the driver or another related person about important changes during cargo transportation.
• Be able to determine the exact time of arrival (ETA) of the vehicle at the destination.
• Have a good knowledge of the regulation of drivers' work and rest time.
• Systematize and analyze the received information about the movement of trucks.
• To inform the colleagues of the commercial part or planning night shift about the changes.
• Help for drivers with cargo transportation or other issues.
• Be able to order ferries, trains, and related information with their schedule and other important information according to the transport manager's instructions.
• Supervision and control of safety tasks (unsafe parking, open trailer doors, alarm system activated, etc.).
• Smooth communication between commercial and planning colleagues.
• Participate in training sessions related to transportation monitoring techniques and tools.
• Help junior transport control specialist’s in case of questions during work.

• Industry experience: Previous experience in logistics is an advantage.

• Work schedule: Availability for night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM or 10 PM – 10 AM; three working days followed by three days of rest).

• Base monthly salary: 3290 - 3600 GEL Gross. The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed, and suitability to the requirements of the position.
