Junior Transport Control Specialist (Night Shift)

We are looking for a driven and proactive Junior Transport Control Specialist to join our team. The role is based in Georgia, Tbilisi. As GBS is rapidly growing across various business units, this role will suit to someone who loves to work in fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and is capable to deliver effective, personable services to businesses to help drive the business growth forward through its rising talents. 

Your Responsibilities

• Communication and Updates: Inform drivers or relevant personnel about important changes during cargo transportation, according to the transport manager's instructions.
• Timely Arrival Management: Ensure that assigned trucks arrive at the designated location at the specified time as per customer requirements.
• Arrival Time Tracking: Accurately determine and track the exact time of arrival of vehicles at their destination.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of driver work and rest time regulations to ensure compliance.
• Data Analysis: Systematize and analyze information regarding truck movements to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborative Communication: Relay any changes or updates to colleagues in commercial or planning departments (including night shifts).
• Driver Assistance: Provide support to drivers regarding cargo transportation or other related issues.
• Logistics Coordination: Order ferries, trains, and other transportation services, and gather relevant information about schedules and other important details based on the transport manager’s instructions.
• Safety Supervision: Monitor and control safety tasks, such as unsafe parking, open trailer doors, and alarm system activations.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues related to cargo monitoring and transportation.
• Shift Transition: Collaborate with day shift colleagues to ensure a smooth transition and handover of tasks.

Our expectations

• Language Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of both English and Russian languages.
• Experience: Previous experience in logistics is an advantage.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify challenges and provide prompt and effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.
• Organization and Responsibility: Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a high level of responsibility.
• Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
• Night Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM, 9 PM - 9 AM, or 10 PM - 10 AM) with a rotation of 3 days of work followed by 3 days of rest.

• Base monthly salary: The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed, and suitability to the requirements of the position. Remuneration and variable extras offered will be based on experience, competence and compliance with the other requirements for the position.
