Junior BI Developer

Girteka Business Services (GBS) - shared services organization in Georgia, Tbilisi - was established in 2022 with a strategic goal to hire local talent to meet the Girteka Group’s business growth need internationally. We believe extended talent pool in Georgia will allow Girteka to increase its operational capabilities in Europe, Nordics and internationally.

We are looking for a driven and proactive Junior Bi Developer/Data Engineer to join our team. The role is based in Georgia, Tbilisi.  As GBS is rapidly growing across various business units, this role will suit to someone who loves to work in fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and is capable to deliver effective, personable services to businesses to help drive the business growth forward through its rising talents. 

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in developing customizations and data models based on various departments' requirements.
• Support the analysis of SAP Analytics Cloud and Data Warehouse Cloud Product Backlog.
• Learn and apply development best practices in the BI area.
• Help identify problems and contribute to finding solutions and alternatives.
• Participate in team discussions and provide support in BI-related tasks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of projects, team efficiency, and work environment.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and follow Agile principles.
• Proactively communicate issues that may impact projects or the team.

Our expectations

• A logical, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence .
• Hands-on experience working with SQL 1-2 years experience. 
• Familiarity with any BI tool and data warehousing concepts.
• Some experience with troubleshooting business applications (preferably BI-related).
• Knowledge of SAP BI solutions (SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, BODS, BW, Business Objects) is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools like Atlassian Jira is a plus.
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.

• Base monthly salary: 3880 - 4850 GEL Gross The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed, and suitability to the requirements of the position. Remuneration and variable extras offered will be based on experience, competence and compliance with the other requirements for the position.
