Chief Accountant

Your Responsibilities:

• Managing (developing competences, motivating) the deputy chief accountants (2 direct reports) in Poznan (Poland). 
• Providing substantive support, tax consultations to employees of other accounting teams (AP, AR, Payroll, etc.) .
• Collaboration with group Share Service Center in Lithuania.
• Preparation of complete and accurate financial statements in accordance with local accounting requirements (Polish accounting standards), as well as Group Accounting Policy.
• Coordination statutory auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Overseeing preparation of VAT, CIT and fiscal returns & supports the preparation of all required financial declarations/reports as requested by public and financial institutions.
• Overseeing the work of AP and AR team in terms of accounting and reporting in order to ensure proper bookkeeping.
• Providing support during the audits and liaising with external auditors.
• Participating in various IT and other projects focused on digitalization of accounting processes.
• Cooperation with the director in the field of accounting, financial and tax solutions.

Our expectations:

• University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics.
• At least 5 years of experience working as a Chief Accountant.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a Manager of accountants.
• Knowledge of legislation of the Republic of Poland in the field of accounting and taxation.
• Excellent MS office skills.
• Good accounting software skills.
• Hands-on experience with data and business management systems.
• High sense of responsibility, capacity to organize time and plan actions effectively.
• Fluent Polish language and very good English language skills (other languages are preferred).
