The goal of the "Girteka Transport" Legal Department is to provide complete, uninterrupted and highest quality and expert legal services in Lithuania and throughout the European Union. We are currently looking for a Lawyer to join our team in Šiauliai who would like to work, learn and grow in a specific area of the transport sector, and be responsible for legal monitoring, operational risk management and coordinating cases in several separate areas. The knowledge, experience and skills acquired with us are and will be unique. Since a lot of in-depth knowledge of processes will be required, it will be necessary to constantly communicate with external partners, and other Girteka colleagues.

What can you expect your day to look like?
- Monitoring relevant legal acts, continuously monitoring, summarizing analyses, and presenting to different departments. Conducting presentations, training, and consulting.
- Managing and coordinating cases related to illegal migrants. Administering company accreditations.
- Coordinating and managing IMI (Internal Market Information System) requests.
- Participating in customer audits according to competence.
- Identifying, assessing, and managing legal risks and compliance.
- Preparing and evaluating various activity-related documents, participating in negotiations, and representing the company's position.
- Initiating process improvements to meet business needs.
- Accepting responsibility for assigned legal matters in the respective jurisdictions in which Girteka operates.
What do we expect from you?
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a law firm or as an in-house counsel.
- University degree in law.
- Very good command of English and Lithuanian, both written and spoken; knowledge of Russian would be a plus.
- Business-minded, result-oriented, and proactive, with a practical approach to problem solving.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with good argumentation and negotiation abilities.
- Motivation to keep learning, improving, and taking on new responsibilities.
- A positive, solution-oriented mindset, focusing on “how” instead of “no”.
An advantage:
- Experience in migration law, the legal status of foreign nationals, and employment law in Lithuania and/or abroad.
- Familiarity with international transport and logistics, compliance, or legal risk management.

Base monthly salary
From to EUR (before tax). The final offer will depend on the candidate’s experience, competencies, and overall fit for the role.
